Downstairs Neighbors

We were invited this afternoon for lavish aperitifs by Grace, Jean and their daughter Gail. (This blip from last year has a bit more on them). Their apartment is directly below ours, on the third floor; we rented it for three years before moving up to our current residence in 2010. I captured this blip from their newly renovated kitchen, which includes a new opening to the dining and living areas and totally transforms their apartment. Ours has the same basic structure, but the wall between the kitchen and the main space remains.
