Pending

My Dear Fellow,

If you were to log on to the immigration.co.nz website today, you would see that my residency visa application is "pending".

This is way better than my last attempt which came up as "rejected" almost straight away. I am taking this to mean that we have at least supplied valid documents this time and now it is up to a person in an office in Wellington to read my story about how I met Er Indoors and then look at our wedding photos.

It's a funny state to be in, "pending". But I suppose that is how I feel right now. Like everything is about to kick off in about 6 month's time and for the moment we are in a holding pattern.

I'm just trying to enjoy it while it lasts. Visiting places I like, meeting up with friends, taking the time to enjoy Edinburgh. 

Speaking of which, because the screenshot of my "pending" status (which was to be the blip for today) is sort of boring, here instead is George Street from Melville Gardens. Sort of pretty, no?
