When I'm Racing with Destiny....

Last weekend there was a brilliant hashtag on twitter, and I responded with

One of the Scientists responded to me, and she was a fossil scientist... and I asked if she was like "Ross from Friends".  But not... we conversed a little back and forth, and she offered to send me some fossils. .. 


And yesterday - look what arrived. 


How beautiful if this?   


A beautifully scientific looking tag, with the most perfectly written description, and 4 fossils of a squid like animal who lived 200-145 million years ago.  all packaged up in little tulle envelopes.  Even more amazing is that the three smaller ones are in a perfectly gorgeous little glass bottle, with a little cork stopper. 


I was completely gobsmacked!   


How amazing is the Internet world?  A few words, a connection over miles, and a perfectly wonderful gift, letting me feel like a little bit of a scientist myself.  


I love life!
