Some Days

By Euphemist

Back to Sea.

I stopped off in North Berwick, East Lothian, for a spot of shopping and a little blipping, on my way home from work today.

Blipping big!

I only had time for a few shots today, as this evening we were out doing very grown-up stuff (involving writing your name in scribbly writing, parties of the first and second parts, promises to pay, etc. etc.) as we are moving house this weekend.

I am constantly struck by what I think is a peculiarly Scottish thing. In England and Wales they have broad sea-front promenades and all the houses look to the sea, but so many houses, certainly in this part of Scotland, have their backs turned to the view. It looks as though they are trying to pretend it is either not there or is just a water feature in their back-yard!
