Signs of spring at last......
It has been such a lovely day, warm, and sunny....I really felt like spring was here, and to confirm my suspicions I found some insect life in my garden. Not anything huge, but a tiny (4.5 - 5.5mm) Birch catkin bug Kleidocerys resedae, not a surprise as I have a huge Silver birch tree.
I love these tiny, perfectly formed little 'Heralds of Spring' and what a perfect day for my first insect shot of 2017, Blip owned by us all's first anniversary.
Thank you everyone for making it possible for me to continue my blip habit! - still one of the best things I ever did!
I ahve added a shot of my first bumblebee too, nectaring on Stinking helebore, and not wanting to play the game!
