Summer day in Paris

Ahhhh, with beautiful weather and beautiful weather, there's nothing more apt than the cliched phrase of 'Je t'aime Paris!'

First day in Paris, meeting up with my Mama (Mamashaz) who flew in from Brisbane, Australia to spend two weeks with me. We've got 3 days in Paris before heading back to my home in Edinburgh.

So the first day, we leisurely wandered around, no pressure to do anything but soak up the atmosphere. As we neared Notre Dame, I remembered that one of my fave ice-cream shops was near - Berthillon on Ile Saint-Louis.

So perusing the flavours, we opted for a double scoop - one of bitter dark chocolate and the other of raspberry. The flavours paired together really well, so no surprise that sharing the ice-cream, we fought a lot about who got to hold it!! In this snap, it's Mamashaz that's a lick ahead of me!

Definitely check out Berthillon if you're in Paris - it's been run by the same family since the 1950s and all the ice-creams are made with all natural flavours.
