Blip Anniversary - Red Balloon Day!
The wonderful Blipdirectors asked us to mark this first anniversary of the community taking over Blipfoto with an appropriate blip and the reasons why we love this place.
Crikey, how to sum up what Blip has meant/means to me in this, my eighth year of blipping? People have to be at the top of the list I think: those I regularly follow; those I have met for real (including several in New Zealand on our Big Adventure last year!) and those I hope to meet in the future on the next Big Adventure. Blipmeets Rule!
It is seeing babies born, new pets, gardens in bloom, honours bestowed, holidays ups and downs, politics recorded and discussed – the whole of life is here and blippers are always here when you need them.
Besides the folks it is the joy of having my Canon permanently attached and blipping every day: recording milestones; beautiful sunsets; Yorkshire and beyond; the birds in the elder tree; colour and shape and shadow and reflection and… and… and…..
I could go on and on about improving my photographic skills……..hah!
So, on this very special day a HUGE thank you to Annie, Bob, Graham and Ian for putting themselves up there and keeping this special place going, and to Michele for coordinating our community. Here is my version of a big red balloon to you, and to us!
It would be great to view everyone's celebratory blips so I have copied Black Tulip and tagged mine with Blip Anniversary.
