Rain Drops on Red
First thing this morning it was overcast and cool with no wind. Then the drizzle started and lasted most of the day.
Here is the latest on the Christchurch fires:
It was said in the article that the Port Hills fire contained the energy of two to three atom bombs, fire response coordinator Richard McNamara says. McNamara has fought fires all over the world, including the Black Saturday fires in Australia, and said he had never seen anything like it.
"If you think its gone away because you think there's been a bit of drizzle - someone coined the term 'spitting on a barbecue'. That's absolutely right." Here is the full article on the fires.
We got into the garage today and sorted and stacked up the packed boxes better. John really has no idea how to stack.
I got my appointment for my MRI.. it isn't until March 6. I have to have a blood test done just before hand.
A strange thing happen on Thursday night .. John put out the green and red rubish bins around 6pm. When he looked out around 7pm the red bin had disappeared. I thought someone may have just pushed it along the road.. but no it hadn't. John had put out a lot of his stuff he didn't want. It was full to the top with old carpet his things, just rubbish really. Someone must have had a look in it and thought there was treasure it.
When John went out for a walk the next morning he noticed some of the carpet was in a yellow bin across the street. The bin still haven't shown up! John had to fill out a form to get a new one.
