ROSE 'PEACE' :

Well it's anything but peaceful in lovely lake Wanaka today ! This is the "Challenge 2017" weekend & there are 1.600 athletes taking part in a 226km duel, I might add in perfect conditions. They have to:-
Swim 3.8km
Bike. 180km
Run. 42km
Added to that, there are 650 volunteers patrolling the course - you could say our tiny village is overloaded !

This beautiful rose, given to me when my husband died, is growing by the garage so I didn't have to walk far - I'm pooped after a few steps.................only joking !
