"Fire! I'll take you to burn!*"

Met up with Alan and Karen, Sean and Patrick for some top nosh before heading up town to take part in the Torchlight Procession that's become a feature of the Hogmanay celebrations.

The route sets off from St Giles', goes down The Mound, along Princes Street and up to Calton Hill. Here, a big bonfire is lit and a huge firework display finishes things off suitably dramatically.

Fantastic event, and a great atmosphere. I'll especially remember walking along Princes Street, looking back at The Mound and seeing a sea of torches still coming down the hill. Magical.
