A long but perfect day

A long but perfect day.

It started badly with the sighting of only 1 magpie! With a salute and 'good day mr magpie, how's your wife and family' I dreaded the rest of the day. Turns out I needn't have worried.

I had a meeting this morning followed by a remedial massage for my back problems, a little sore but ok. Visit to the old codger then lunch out which was lovely.

Prior to my lunch whilst travelling down the outside lane of the motorway, teenage daughter rang! Unable to speak properly I pulled over off the motorway to calm her nerves before her driving test. Journey continued for lunch.

Lunch was nice, good company and food good. I was a little distracted between 1.45 and 2.15 I must admit, however the call came to say test was passed. So pleased and relieved.

We then trotted off to Silloth, fond memories of a little boy who used to say Silliff. This journey was to get some things from a relatives caravan. Both myself and teenage daughter said we'd miss our trips to the coast.

With the jobs all done, driving test relived we sat down with a glass of proseco.

Teenage daughter is very tired. Teenage son is home from his girlfriends and I am now sat with a glass of proseco and Bruce on telly singing Sherry Darlin.

A long but perfect day.
