Keep The Pavement Dry!!

The statement here has been pretty much impossible in what has passed for summer this year. Regular bursts of torrential rain - it is very rare to see a pavement which is dry!

Anyway I have Blipped a few items in the past from the Walter Macfarlane Saracen Foundry. This ornate cast iron drinking fountain was typical fo the Macfarlane works all over Glasgow and around the world.

They specialised in production of drinking fountains, bandstands, lamp standards, pre- fabricated buildings, gates, railings, phone boxes and architectural crestings and ornaments.
