Hugs and Hallelujah!!
'H' is for Hugs! ;-)
..... to all of my dearly beloved family, friends, and acquaintances all over the world!! All your prayers and positive support over the past few days carried me in such a wonderful way!
All my blood tests, scans and x-rays were done by yesterday afternoon and this morning I saw my surgeon again! Wonderful news!! The cancer has not spread to my organs and is contained in the breasts! What a relief, I can actually not explain the feelings I'm feeling today!! It feels as if we're not talking about me, I am so grateful for only having breast cancer! It sounds so wrong to be grateful for cancer, but that is what I'm feeling today! Friends visited today, and they were so emotional, and there I sat, emotionless! How do you explain that? I am actually totally confused!
I am soooo relieved that we could finally make arrangements for the operation. The surgeon will only be able to do the operation next Wednesday, 5 September 2012. He is the guest speaker at a huge seminar for breast cancer doctors tomorrow! He is such an extraordinary, kind, caring and highly qualified man! Thank God for sending me to him!!
I will have to go to the Muelmed Nuclear Medicine Department at 08:00 on Wedensday morning, where they will inject the cancer with a colourant to identify affected glands, after that I will report to the Netcare Femina Hospital for the bilateral mastectomy. The pathologist will examine the first gland, and depending on the result, the surgeon will decide whether or not to remove more glands, then he will do the mastectomies, and then the results of the pathology will determine how much chemotherapy I will have to get!
I am really relieved to just know the way forward now! With all the support I am getting from my bloodfamily and blipfamily as well as friends all over the world, it can only go well!!
Have a good night all of you, I really think I am going to do the same tonight!!
LuvUAll!
