Sorrento Sunset
Every night, except last night, whilst in Perth we have watched the sun setting about 7pm. It's something many Ozzies do; the beaches and promenades are busy. Tonight a couple of dozen blokes were playing football on the beach whilst others just sat on the sand, watching. Others walked along and sat on the wall or stopped for a chat. Many were surfboarding or swimming. It really is the great outdoors life - life in the sun.
No sooner had we crossed the road from our hotel we were on the beach and I liked the position of the sun on the horizon in relation to the beach path between the dunes. As I composed the photo, a couple of seagulls flew past - the photo bombing was most welcome! It'll be the last sunset we see properly as we get picked up at 6pm tomorrow for our epic journey back to the UK.
Earlier in the day we'd borrowed the hotel pedal cycles and cycled quite a few miles to Scarborough beach. It's a famous Oz beach and is undergoing major construction with outdoor pool, ampitheatre, shops and the like. It'll be superb when it's all done.
