In a few minutes, my friend Mary and I will be going over this bridge, into town and to the OPERA!  This is the first proper opera I have attended (saw a children's opera last year....) and it's Madam Butterfly by Puccini!!!  Mary says she's bringing tissues because everyone cries....:) 

Our bridge is popular with walkers, runners and bikers, as you can see on the bridge in this shot, a handful of walkers.  Through the bridge and on the left is a tall tan building with a red tile roof and that's where my sister in law lives, so she's about 6 minutes away by car, probably 30 minutes swimming!  And the purple building is the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, designed in the shape of a giant clam shell, but why it's painted purple I have no idea. 
Off to the opera!!!  :)
