AbstractThursday: "Travels"

I met 3 of my friends for lunch today. Patti and Judy grew up together and went to nursing school together, which is where I met them. After graduating from nursing school, all 3 of us were hired for the same unit at the same hospital (goes to show you how short staffed they were back then, too!), and that's where we all met Roseann. Judy lives in California now, and comes back periodically to see her family, and when she comes we always try to get together for lunch. Lots of reminiscing & laughing going on while we ate! 
On the way home I stopped at the Lakefront where I found a large patch of dried up bull thistle---the weed that has the sharp spikes coming off of it---one of them still had it's white "fluff", so I broke it off, brought it home, stood it up in a bottle so the sun was behind it & used my macro lens to take some shots. The sort of star shaped object was a dried up bloom that had caught in the white fluff. :))
