A bit different

Japanese International Festival at school tonight, the culmination of International Fortnight. She had dance class so missed the opening parade but insisted we went after class. They all had a handmade happi to wear, which they'd painted with their own name in Japanese, with the help of visiting Japanese students.  Funnily enough, she loved the Japanese dancing best of everything. The school dance teacher spotted her at the back and took her to the front. She had a great time. And doing the drumming. We went to a tea ceremony. She had and really enjoyed sushi. She made a koinobori kite. She did origami and made a wooden plaque with her dreams on it - I cant remember the proper name of that! It was brilliant. We didn't stay a huge amount of time, she has an early morning music lesson, but we very much enjoyed the time we had!
