Manual Thursday

A pleasant day all round with much walking, eating and general relaxing being on the agenda.

An early start - we wanted to avoid the rush hour traffic - and we started in Keswick where we spent the majority of the morning.

It was wet, but not unpleasant and we toured the town and its charms.

Grasmere was next but the rain and wind had reached Biblical proportions so we paid a fleeting visit before heading to Bowness and our hotel.

Lots of photos taken but no facility to upload, so the Blip is of an empty bowl that once held very possibly the best Tomato & Chorizo soup I've ever tasted (which was today's lunch).

Windermere for tea to scope out our 'cruise' tomorrow.
