Depressing Books

Back at work today and it was very very quiet so took the opportunity to go and do some shopping in the sales I managed to turn a jacket given as a present into a jacket, two pairs of jeans and a t-shirt so was feeling pleased with myself until I saw this new genre in Waterstones.

Then Mum phoned to say my grandma had died. She was over 90 and had Alzheimers so it was a blessing in a way but she went downhill quite quickly so a bit of a shock too. Mum managed to get down to see her before she went so that was good. Also heard that a work colleague who had been battling cancer for some time died yesterday which actually has affected me more becuase he had a young family.

Here's hoping for a better 2009 becasue if it goes on like this I may have a book to write!
