Spice of life
This is not the photo I would have liked to blip, but I didn't have camera or phone with me at the right time. These ladies are respectively buying and selling spices (ground on the spot) on the fringes of the street market.
Gym, market, chores and work this morning and more of the same this afternoon till it was time to go to choir rehearsal. And that's where I wished I'd had a camera. Our maestro, Felipe, leads choirs for all ages, from first to second childhood and all ages in between. Our newest recruit is an 8-year-old from one of his children's choirs and was accompanied by her parents, who took it in turns to keep her 9-month-old brother amused. What a fantastic family! I can't imagine that little Rafaela can have found it very amusing, particularly the first ½ hour of vocal exercises, then waiting while each of the four voice groups (funny, I know the word in Portuguese, but not in English) learned their parts, but she stayed and sang along for the whole two hours. The choir's name is Coral Para Todos - Choir For All, and for now it certainly has all ages, from 8 to well over 80. Long may it last!
