Bridge 108
Yes, it's another bridge on the Shropshire Union canal. This is Wharton's Bridge where the Sandstone Trail crosses the canal. It is a grade II listed building and was built around 1767. It was listed in 1986 and the website of listed buildings describes it as whitewashed but the listing has not been updated since then and most of the whitewash has come off.
I found this quite tricky to photograph because the lock is so close to the bridge. After a bit of playing around I decided I had to take it from this side of the bridge and the best option was the north side so that I could include the towpath. I could really have done with somebody walking along here but I didn't see anyone at all on my short walk.
