Enamel Sign
Taken at Beamish Museum. I remember these signs on walls when I was was young. About twenty two years ago we were getting new windows fitted and when they removed the old ones there was an empty packet of Players cigarettes wedged in the window frame. Our house was built early 1950's so I guess it must have been there since then. I think we have the packet somewhere in the house. Extra is of a replica narrow gauge engine. The man was firing up the engine as an inspector was coming to to check it.
