Get a load of me!

I once saw one of these on display at a local wildflower garden, but this is the first time I’ve seen one on my home turf!
 
I think it’s a Harlequin bug……  the colours are magnificent and it looked so beautiful glistening in the sunlight..
 
….....but…... after a little googling, I'm disappointed to learn, that they are treacherous and suck the life out of plants!
