Irate robin
This afternoon, I was investigating the possible site of a doocot (dovecote) with my friends from the local Heritage group. Most of my shots were of test pits, dubious delineations of soil type in a trench, and bits of stone that may or not have been demolition rubble.
All of this was done while fighting our way through bushes and undergrowth on an overgrown hummock. I'm guessing this robin considered it his territory as he fluttered from branch to branch watching us, and was really giving us the beady eye - have you ever seen a bird GLARE more obviously?!
On the other hand, he may just have been intensely interested because he was hoping we'd turn up worms :)
