Valentine Cruise!

We have to get in training for our cycling holiday so when pal Jean suggested a meet up with pal John at Hollins, I decided against the train and pumped up my tyres.  It was overcast on the outward journey through Bingley St Ives, across Beckfoot Ford, along the canal to Saltaire, through Baildon and up Hollins Hill.  Jean and John had taken advantage of this week's special offer - half price breakfast, so I ordered a large (it was very large!) cappucino and waited in the bar for them to finish.

Lots of catching up ensued and enjoyment of John's Iceland holiday photos, where did the time go?  We emerged in to sunshine and I decided to do a detour through Esholt to miss the traffic on the main road.  Back along the canal between Saltaire and Hirst Wood, and folks were out walking, running, pedalling and narrowboating.  There was just the one couple on this 30 minute tour boat, wrapped around each other either because it was Valentine's Day or because they were cold!

Bike washed, bird feeders filled, cuppa and cake consumed - time for a shower!
