Rupert Goes to Hovetorp

Finally Mr Sunshine had decided to pay us a visit, and we made the most of it by going on an outing with our new friends Rupert and Wolf. We went to the locks at Hovetorp, walking along the smaller of our two canals to the locks at Hovetorp where there is a small ice cream cabin. During summer.

And then we had OUR winter picnic on the same spot! It was sunny and the Bolognese was yummy. Glorious!

Rupert, who has been on many adventures, analysed the different types of ice along the way. Downstream, second extra, it was thick and with all sorts of paw prints, footprints and even tyre tracks in the new snow. Upstream in the small marina, a skating area had been plowed. But - the ice here looked very unreliable today. In the first extra, we're contemplating this. Rupert likes rhymes, so here is a summary for you:
