Down low in a woodland dell

Hooray! Overnight the thick blanket of lowering cloud cleared away and we awoke to a sparkling, sunny morning for the first time in what seems weeks.

There was nothing special going on today. A good, quick walk first thing enjoying the brightness of the day where I spotted one of the elusive gnomes that can be seen in the woood now and again.  Susan then went to Canterbury with her mum for what turned out to be a marathon session in a variety of shops looking for curtain and at wallpaper and such like. I'm sure Doreen picked up and put down every item of that nature in Canterbury over the course of several hours. They left at 10.30 and didn't get back til past 7.00pm.

While this was going on I was able to sneak off for a swim but paid for it later as I was on cooking duty for our friends tomorrow. Made a soup, the main course as well as cooking a mushroom, pepper and carrot filling for tonight's fajitas.
