Hello Mummy - or Mommy
There's an ongoing debate in our family - is it 'Mummy' or Mommy'. Basically, it depends who you ask - me: Mummy. Husband: Mommy. I should stand up for British English, but somehow, 'Mommy' re-affirms that the boy's aren't 100% British.
The absolute, total, favourite place to be these days (if you are my toddler), is sitting on the stool in our kitchen. It gets dragged from the computer, to the work surface and now to the microwave. Afternoon snack is now taken sitting at the counter top and he just loves it. About half an hour was spent playing with the buttons on the microwave and putting a toy cow, candles and toy giraffe in and out of the microwave - obviously it was turned off at the wall. Equally, the wi-fi is turned off as soon as he goes near the computer.
It's half term, so we're drumming up things to do. Today: Library (a good way to spend the morning) and a quick shop for a gift to give to a heavily pregnant friend we're seeing tomorrow.
The smallest slept very well last night - thank goodness - except I've been more tired today than for ages! The toddler didn't sleep so well - ending up curled up with my husband on the floor of the nursery - they looked very, very cosy this morning when I went in, both fast asleep.
