I've Got My Eye on You!

My birthday, and the anniversary of my first blip (not that I've made 365 yet, thanks to the bug that struck me down in the autumn), however ..

I got to choose what we did today, and I had no idea  - what can you do in the depths of the country on a dismal Monday in February? I wanted warmth and colour, and there was no magic carpet to transport me to Marrakesh, so  - I decided on Butterfly World.

Couldn't fault it for warmth. And plenty of critters. I passed on the reptile room, but got on terms with Spike, the iguana (she's one of the extras.)

The butterflies weren't as bright as some I've seen, and not keen to spread their wings and stay still for the camera. But beautiful in their details.

The other extra was taken on the way, just to remind me of how horrible the weather was.
