Sheffield Park: The Upper Lake
A pair of Mallard Ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) beneath the highly ornamental Monterey Pine (Pinus radiata) near the top end of Ten Foot Pond, the uppermost of the four interconnected lakes inside the Garden at Sheffield Park.
Also to be seen in today's bright sunshine (see 'Extras') were a bee feeding on the nectar of some Snowdrops (Galanthus Sp.) and a brilliant red leaf (Liquidambar Sp.?) still surviving intact from last autumn.
