First Signs of Spring

At last after several days of gloom bright sunlight greeted us today albeit still with a bitingly cold wind.
Wrapping up warm I walked around the woodland and village of Newchurch where in the churchyard there is a wonderful display of snowdrops to lift the spirits.
After a pleasant half an hour on my knees photographing these lovely flowers I walked down into the woods to escape the wind. An image Impression of some birch trees is in the extras.
Both of these pictures were made using an in camera double  exposure with the overlay image slightly out of focus.
