Lilacs in February

The colouring has been touched up a wee bit here otherwise the grey tones would be too realistic and depressing!  The future lilac flowers are sleeping until this cold blanket. 
We will have another 15 inches of snow today.
No school for the kids. They could be enjoying a school year that lasts well into July at this rate. Even the Village snowplow did not get their job done until 10:30 this morning! 
Nice and snug in my house with the dosing cats. This is the year I will be so very grateful for the new heating system!!
