Earrings

Ava had previously, absolutely refused to get her ears pierced. The mere mention of it would have her cover her ears and adamantly state "NO!" So it was with much surprise this morning when she informed me she wanted to get her ears pierced. I think the idea of having all sorts of fancy new types of jewelry had finally swayed her.

She was spending much of the day with her Grandmama while I took Connor to his final appointment with Melody. (She doesn't do speech therapy on school aged children.) I told Grandmama that it was all right with me if she wanted to go get them pierced today so Grandmama took her to the mall and got the job done. I think Ava was very surprised that it didn't hurt much at all (they use numbing gel before piercing now) and she is very proud of her new earrings.
