Avon Flotilla

A paddle down the Avon River was organised for today by the Waka Club. It was well named the Avon Flotilla, with many and varied modes of flotation, some of the blow up type, that may well have been blown around on the stretches of river that were exposed to the strong nor'wester that got up. I was with the seakayaking group, that found the conditions fairly easy, although the wind did affect us too. In all it took us 1 3/4 hours, to get from Pomeroys in the CBD, down to Owles Terrace, just short of the Estuary. Such a fun outing!

I'm totally gobsmacked and rather overwhelmed by the amazing response to my blipbirthday yesterday. I will try to return all the comments, but it'll take a couple of sessions.
