Les Contamines

Two blips in the top10, thank you all very very much, very pleased my efforts have been worthwhile.

With the holiday season starting I decided we'd head to Les Contamine, despite not having skied here before (disgraceful really as its a 12minute drive to the lift) I'd a hunch it would be less busy - and boy was I right, if you look closely to the left you can see the dozen or so people we shared a mile of open country with off the top lift, simply a case of pop S on a piste and then track across the hill till a line downwards took your fancy.
Very different to St G, with most of the upper ski area devoid of trees - but some fabulous fast pistes and a real sense of being able to go anywhere if you are vaguely competent on planks.
Very impressed - expect I'll be spending a fair bit of time here!
