The Arched Window

This plaque is on the front of the village hall in the village.  It amused me, but what I really like about the village hall is the arched window and all the shapes of glass within it.

A walk this morning, around the lanes and back along by the old railway line.  It was 3 degrees out and felt damp and cold but there were plenty of people out - walking, cycling and running.  This afternoon I went to the allotment and dug up the last of the parsnips - I will make them into soup.  I also pruned back the hawthorn hedges and did some digging.  The pigeons have been eating my broccoli but that is my fault for not netting them.  Now to cook dinner and make a note of the varieties of vegetables and flowers I grew last year and the ones I plan to use this year -  so I can remember which ones grew well or we especially liked.
