Florescent green paint

Today I spent a good bit of my time, prepping, taping off and applying several coats of florescent green paint to the lower edge and front edge of our new mail box.

Our current mailbox is a little worse for ware having been clipped by a car about a year ago.  Took the side view mirror clean off the car!  (Yay, for rolled steel.)  But we had to take a hammer to the mailbox and beat it out so we could open and close it again.  It's been doing us fine but it's time.  

Not sure the bright florescent paint will really help and prevent further mishaps with the way some people choose to race on the road out front of our house. 

Also today, my throw blankets from Society6 came.  Yay.  They are in place and covering the well loved sofa.  They are brown with a touch of blue that comes out more depending on the light.  They are two huge throws so on a cold night you can wrap up if you need/want to.
