A gentle swim!

The weather today was so awful that L and I decided to go to  St Andrews. We've been to St Andrews hundreds of times but never visited the Aquarium .... that was about to change.

This Thornback Ray was fascinating to watch as it very gracefully moved through the water and then settled on the gravel at the bottom of the very large tank.  The camouflage was almost 100% as you can see in the first extra where there are two rays lying on the gravel.

The second extra is a Humboldt Penguin enjoying a swim in the penguin pool. The bitingly cold wind and drizzle didn't seem to bother him.
