ALPACA

Weemo, Evie and I headed out to Muiravonside Country Park this afternoon and, although the weather was cold and damp, it was great to see the animals and I think Evie was quite impressed too. Like llamas, alpacas originate from the Altiplano (Spanish for high plain) in west-central South America. Alpacas and llamas belong to the camel family and were primarily bred for their dense fleece, with meat being used as a secondary product. 

I've put a rather majestic highland cow and a pony running at full speed in the extras!
