2017 Friday -- First Morning Back

With predictions of rain and a terrific storm arriving soon, waking to this spectacular sight this morning was a gift. This was a morning that I had to "get a move on" because this was an in-service day at the campus with everything beginning at 8:30.

The day of meetings concluded at 3:00 and included a noon box-lunch with our new college president. Two morning workshops, with an option of three to select from, and one longer afternoon workshop made the day energized and not so boring as the usual big group in the same room all day format that we've had in the past.

On the way home I stopped at Walgreens to look at greeting cards, but I did not find a package of six or eight Valentine cards to purchase. I love sending cards to friends, especially some of our elderly friends, who enjoy getting mail. So tomorrow I'll look at another store and get some cards in the mail.

This evening I prepared spaghetti with "heart-shaped" pasta that I purchased a couple weeks ago at "Cost-plus World Market" in San Luis Obispo.

So that's what my first day back in Southern California looked like.
