Happy Cante

Well, no snow here (unlike the rest of Europe, it seems), but pretty cold, grey and rainy... however, nothing will get me down today - our son has booked to come see us - arrives last day of the month - I am SO HAPPY!!!

Also, here is the warmth (psychological, not physical, mind) of the Adega Velha, where we went for a couple of tintinhos (little glasses of red), plus petiscos (free titbits), for lunch. You can see M coming towards me with the second lot. It's the place to go to meet people - Zé Maria was there (as always), as was the owner of "our" land - still no news. As Zé had predicted, it was full because no-one wanted to be outside, and a fair bit of Cante went on.

Walked up and round the castle, and a good chat with the woman in the tourist office today - quite informative... and as always, warning about all the bad deals we could make...
