Sticker time

A really important part of every music lesson is sticker time. B has a special set of stickers that are Katie's. She had an amazing lesson today. It took a little to get her concentration, but that was excitement at new stuff she was going to be doing that lesson. B hid it from sight for a while and got her focus. She worked brilliantly. At the start of the lesson B said we had to choose between after Easter or July for Katie's grade 3. By the end of the lesson she'd decided it was to be Easter as katie sight read several grade 3 pieces with little hesitation. She was so proud of herself, it's just wonderful to see.

back to dancing tonight for commercial, which she really enjoyed again. I like that class. It's fun but challenging too- it's a new style to her and she's throwing herself at it with enthusiasm. I've now seen a video from her first class and she did really well, being chosen in the top three to lead it. This week she got put in the lead pair of the group.

Her principal told me tonight that katie is doing really well and she definitely want her to do the royal ballet school JA auditions next time round (so jan next year) as well as midland, then northern ballet auditions the following year when she's 9, so they'll be prepping for that all later this year. Katie was predicatably impressed. She also suggested some workshops that katie can do at northern so she's now booked on those and super excited.
