To the lighthouse
Mostly we read, we took notes in our journals, Sue drew, and we tiptoed up to the library at dawn to watch the full moon descend into the Pacific as the sun rose. Finally it cleared up (see Extra), and just as we left, a beam of sunlight hit Yaquina Lighthouse. I left reluctantly, feeling some nostalgia for the decades of my life before the internet, and as we neared Portland the traffic became increasingly frenetic. Looking back, our two days stretch out langorously like a week. I suppose we are ready now for the next onslaught of Facebook, events, protests, and family visits.
Posts for the 8th and 9th February are up now, if you have time for them, but I will leave comments off till I can catch up to myself.
