Cluster 1 from Ariane 5
Ariane 5 was an unmanned European Space Agency rocket that self-destructed during launch in 1996 following a failure due to an integer overflow error in its software (a fairly basic error that should have been caught by proper code testing). These are the recovered remains of the Cluster 1 spacecraft, which were being launched by Ariane 5 to study the magnetosphere. The replacement Cluster II mission was successfully launched four years later.
