Bog cotton

The summer of 2011 was so wet that the bog cotton which appeared the following June was the best I ever saw in the 26 years at the cottage. Having taken various photos I asked Mary Adam (www.maryadam.com) if she would do a painting for me. I have known her all my life (her mother and my mother were medical students together) and been very impressed with the flowering of her artistic life in recent years. She was in Trinidad at the time but since then has moved to London, U.K.
