A federal appeals panel unanimously refused to reinstate the travel ban. So, Rump's suffered another loss and had a Twitter screaming fit last evening. Now, a reworking of the order, or a trip back to court, what will it be? Time will tell, but the refugees and travelers from the 7 banned countries are thankfully entering the country.
We survived the blizzard with a plowed driveway and 15 inches/38 cm of fluffy snow on the ground. The weather pattern seems to have shifted and there are snowy days ahead. My brother and sister-in-law may have to leave Machiasport for Massachusetts on Sunday instead of Monday to beat the next storm.
I've shoveled a bit to tidy up the driveway after taking T to the train. The roads were a sorry sight, many still snow covered and dicey. I did some shopping and stocked up on cheap birdseed and cracked corn for the pitiful turkeys camped out in the backyard.
For the Record,
This day came in bitter cold with deep snow.

The small leather bound Constitution rests on a handmade basket of sweet grass that belonged to my grandmother, Nora. Inside I have flint arrowheads in various states of formation that I've collected on a lovely beach in Machiasport Maine. The flints were wrought thousands of years ago by the same native people, The Passamaquoddy People of the Dawn who originally wove baskets like the one my grandmother purchased in the 50s. They are still being woven, cherished and sold today.
