Cooking prohibited

Sounds like there are some interesting activities taking place at Keflavik to justify this warning. I thought the lady was posing with the sign but it was the handsome Viking (and discoverer of Vinland, ie North America) Leifur Eriksson that she was after!

Today we spent the morning shopping in Reykjavik before heading to the airport. I was most excited about my yarn purchase, some Einrum (wool and silk). Now I just need to decide what to do with it... we also stopped for a coffee and cinnamon scone at Reykjavik Roasters, recommended!

The drive to the airport was interesting with very strong side winds which our little lightweight car was clearly not built for. We got there though and safely home (amazingly the flight was not bumpy at all) with our stash of liquorice and chocolate.
