Ent- As A German Prefix

There are lots of German verbs that start with "ent" and they normally take three forms;- removing something (entfesseln - to let loose, unchain), conversion or reversion (entschädigen - to reimburse, compensate), & the beginning of something (entspringen - to originate).

Here we're removing traces of the people who lived here before us and we coined the verb ent(their name)en.

The kitchen was so badly designed and so badly laid out, it was not fun to work in there.  So we've had a charity come round and they removed all the kit and the cupboards and they'll sell it to someone who'll get some good kit for a great price.  And we'll be almost free of the  stupid decisions the previous owners made.

Like the cable in the top left corner.

The light that you can see on the left, we can switch that on at the wall.  But it get its power from that plug that you can see.  Because it would have been stupid for it to be powered like all the other lights that you switch on and off at the wall.

The new kitchen arrives on Tuesday.  I shall look forward to that.

Oh and I've been thinking about Shiv today.  It's been a year since she died.  The world is not fair.
