The Falkirk Wheel

A day out in Falkirk - the Wheel has been here for 10 years and was opened by Queen Elizabeth II and this year The Princess Royal, Princess Anne rededicated the facility.

This was a good day out there are various attractions including a cafe and shop. there are various items around the canal basin and there are a number of tourist booking centres and information points.

There is also a stretch on the Antoine Wall located nearby - and for those who do not know; it is not a stone wall like that of Hadrian further south.
