still life

Inspired by Regine's blip yesterday I made my own wine blip-tableau. Today i am learning about surfaces and how they affect reflection and refraction (chapter 3). The best thing about a wine still life is that you get to finish the wine after the photo shoot :) Enlarge to read the label.

Notes for self reference: DIY lightbox with a white paper background, sidelight (natural), white cardboard on the other side acts as a mild reflector to give the glass a bit more definition.
